A Building Regulations UK Part L (BRUKL) compliance report and certificate is required for all new commercial and non-domestic dwellings, or refurbishment projects over 50m2, to prove they have been designed and comply with UK building regulations.
BRUKL Reports
What is a BRUKL Report?
Make a Booking
Bookings can be made online or if you prefer to phone, call us Mon-Fri 9 am – 6pm, where a friendly and helpful member of staff will be happy to assist you.
When are they carried out?
BRUKL assessments are first carried out during the design phase of a build project. A report is then produced detailing how the design meets the requirements.
Once the build is complete, it will need to be reassessed to evaluate whether the design still complies, and consider changes that may have been made during the construction process, it will then be signed-off with a BRUKL certificate.
Simplified Building Energy Model calculations, also known as SBEM, are made as part of the BRUKL evaluation process. SBEM is the method for calculating the energy performance of non-domestic buildings, estimating the annual carbon emissions that will be produced annually from the building.
Energy & Sustainability Statements
Some planning applications and build projects also require an Energy Statement or Sustainability Statement, and sometimes both. Our team of consultants can help your projects to achieve compliance with BRUKL, undertaking the SBEM calculations, and with any supporting requirements including Energy Statements and Sustainability Statements.
