SAP Calculations - New Builds & Extensions
If you’re planning to build an extension to your property, that includes a large area of glazing, you are likely to be asked for an Extension SAP Calculation.
By using the ‘Whole Dwelling Calculation Method’ we’ll help to justify the amount of glazing to be used. From the latest SAP software we’ll show ‘that the calculated carbon dioxide (CO2) emission rate from the dwelling with its proposed extension is no greater than for the dwelling plus a notional extension’ (built to the standards set out in Part L 1 B – Building Reg’s)
EPC – New Builds
When building a new property, whether it be a single house, large development or a block of flats, you are required to produce EPC documentation to building control to ensure it complies with approved document L1A.
